To splash
To be honest, this verb originally comes from Yiddish, but we use it very often, especially during Shavuot.
לְמַעַן הָאֱמֶת, שֵׁם הַפֹּעַל הַזֶּה מְקוֹרוֹ בְּיִידִישׁ, אֲבָל אֲנַחְנוּ מִשְׁתַּמְּשִׁים בּוֹ הַרְבֵּה מְאוֹד בִּמְיוּחָד בְּחַג הַשָּׁב וּעוֹת.
On Shavuot, there is a special custom of water battles, where people splash water on anyone who participates in the battle.
בְּחַג הַשָּׁבוּעוֹת יֵשׁ מִנְהָג מְיוּחָד וְהוּא לַעֲשׂוֹת מִלְחֲמוֹת מַיִם וּלְהַשְׁפְּרִיץ מַיִם עַל כָּל מִי שֶׁמִּשְׁתַּתֵּף בְּמִלְחֶמֶת הַמַּיִם.
The correct Hebrew equivalent of this verb is "to spray", but in everyday language, we use "to splash" (להשפריץ).
הַמַּקְבִּילָה שֶׁל שֵׁם הַפֹּעַל הַזֶּה בְּשָׂפָה עִבְרִית נְכוֹנָה הִיא לְהַתִּיז, אֲבָל בְּשָׂפָה יוֹמְיוֹמִית אֲנַחְנוּ מִשְׁתַּמְּשִׁים בְּ"לְהַשְׁפְּרִיץ".
If I peel an orange or a clementine, the juice might splash, and if I accidentally splash it into my eye, it’s really unpleasant!
אִם אֲנִי מְקַלֶּפֶת תַּפּוּז אוֹ קְלֶמַנְטִינָה , הַמִּיץ יָכוֹל לְהַשְׁפְּרִיץ וְאִם בְּטָעוּת הִצְלַחְתִּי לְהַשְׁפְּרִיץ לִי לְתוֹךְ הָעַיִן זֶה מַמָּשׁ לֹא נָעִים!!
Here are some sentences using the infinitive "to splash":

1. Children love splashing water on each other while playing in the pool during summer.
