Rain
There are those (like me) who really don't like rain. Even if there isn't much rain where I live, when there is, I don't like it, because the ground turns to mud, and I can't take the dogs out to the garden.
יֵשׁ כָּאֵלֶּה (כָּמוֹנִי) שֶׁמַּמָּשׁ לֹא אוֹהֲבִים גֶּשֶׁם. אֲפִילּוּ שֶׁאֵין הַרְבֵּה גֶּשֶׁם בַּמָּקוֹם שֶׁבּוֹ אֲנִי גָּרָה, גַּם כְּשֶׁיֵּשׁ, אֲנִי לֹא אוֹהֶבֶת, כִּי הָאֲדָמָה הוֹפֶכֶת לְבוֹץ וַאֲנִי לֹא יְכוֹלָה לְהוֹצִיא אֶת הַכְּלָבִים לַגִּינָּה.
Besides that, I like to hang my laundry outside and if it rains, it wets all my laundry.
חוּץ מִזֶּה אֲנִי אוֹהֶבֶת לִתְלוֹת כְּבִיסָה בַּחוּץ, וְאִם יוֹרֵד גֶּשֶׁם הוּא מַרְטִיב לִי אֶת כָּל הַכְּבִיסָה.
But the rain is important for us. It brings life to the earth. It fills the rivers and lakes, waters the crops, and provides water to drink for people and animals.
אֲבָל הַגֶּשֶׁם חָשׁוּב לָנוּ. הוּא מֵבִיא חַיִּים לָאֲדָמָה. מְמַלֵּא אֶת הַנְּחָלִים וְהָאֲגַמִּים, מַשְׁקֶה אֶת הַצְּמָחִים וּמְסַפֵּק מַיִם לִשְׁתִיָּה לִבְנֵי הָאָדָם וּלְבַעֲלֵי הַחַיִּים.
This is the reason why after SUKKOT we pray for rain.
זֹאת הַסִּיבָּה שֶׁלְּאַחַר חַג הַסּוּכּוֹת אֲנַחְנוּ מִתְפַּלְּלִים אֶת תְּפִילַּת הַגֶּשֶׁם.

1. Rain fell at night and wetted all my laundry, but it also washed the car.

3. הַגֶּשֶׁם הָרִאשׁוֹן נִקְרָא 'יוֹרֶה' וְהַגֶּשֶׁם הָאַחֲרוֹן נִקְרָא 'מַלְקוֹשׁ'.
4. In the movie "Rain Man," Dustin Hoffman plays the role of a man with autism and Tom Cruise plays the role of his brother.
4. בַּסֶּרֶט "אִישׁ הַגֶּשֶׁם" דַּסְטִין הוֹפְמָן מְגַלֵּם תַּפְקִיד שֶׁל אָדָם בַּעַל אוֹטִיזְם וְטוֹם קְרוּז מְגַלֵּם אֶת תַּפְקִיד אָחִיו.
